About This Project
6FootMedia was hired to develop a self-managed PDF document library of tombstones (a boxed advertisement without artwork or illustrations, especially. one announcing an issue of a stock or bond) and tombstone mailers.
The system developed by 6FootMedia allows bank representatives to upload new PDF's of tombstones and mailers to the server. A powerful filtering and sort function makes it easy to find entries by the issue size, company name, industry or publication in which the tombstone appeared.
Unique Features
Wachovia's sales people frequently use the tombstones as part of their presentation to new clients. The client wanted the ability to have a JPG image of each PDF on line. 6FootMedia implemented dynamic PDF conversion (on-the-fly). Although the client needs only upload a PDF, the users of the system have a button called "PDF as JPG" which will convert the PDF to a JPG on demand. Converted JPG's are cached on the server until a new version of the PDF is uploaded.
The application resides on 6FootMedia's server farm.
