About This Client
Water Tech is an innovative manufacturer located in New York City. The client developed a revolutionary handheld, battery-operated pool cleaner, the Pool Buster, which has stirred up a storm of interest in the pool industry.
About This Project
The schematics for the Pool Buster were designed for the client by Outthere technologies using think3. Because think3 does not enable the export of an entire model, 6FootMedia imported the STL files for each individual part into 3D Studio Max 4. We then repositioned the parts and added lighting and environment effects. A unique feature of this 3D model is parental structure built into the neck of the unit which makes it behave and respond like true rubber would.
As the engineering firm provided us with new schematics, we created updated 3D renderings (see Renders 1-3). We then created a see-through model that was presented to investors and potential customers as a "view of things to come." As a result of our efforts, the client was able to secure the credit loans and elicit initial product orders that allowed it to proceed with manufacturing.

We participated in the design of the product, development of owner's manuals and other documentation, and the design of marketing materials (brochures, leaflets and mailers).
