About This Client

Water Tech is an innovative manufacturer located in New York City. The client developed a revolutionary handheld, battery-operated pool cleaner, the Pool Buster, which has stirred up a storm of interest in the pool industry.

About This Project

6FootMedia was asked to develop a CSS driven website that is W3C verifiable (cross-platform/cross-browser compatible) and mimics the look and feel of the client's existing flash website, also developed by 6FootMedia.

The site uses extensive background objects and CSS2 layouts that create a complete separation between content and layout. The source code for each page is less than 5Kb in size, and pages load almost instantaneously.

The positioning of graphics is done via a global style sheet. A dynamic menu is also completely accomplished in CSS, without the need for any JavaScripting.

The content is shared with the flash site via external text file and server side scripting. When the client needs to update content, they log in to an administrative control panel, through which they can update the contents of these global text files. The changes are reflected in both the HTML/CSS site and the flash site.

6FootMedia's Full Line of Services

6FootMedia has been involved in the development of the Pool Buster from its inception. We participated in the design of the product, development of the owner's manuals and other documentation and design of marketing materials (brochures, leaflets and mailers).  In addition, we designed Water Tech's logo and letterhead and created their corporate website.
